The artificial lake is a central component of the TROJENA masterplan, a mountain destination within the NEOM megaproject located at altitudes up to 2,600m above sea level . Designed to be a 2.8km long freshwater body, the lake serves as the heart of TROJENA, acting as a public space for wellbeing, entertainment, and a global hub for water sports.

Diriyah Gate Development Authority achieved a milestone in its Gyratory Tunnel Extension project by setting a new record for concrete pouring. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance the infrastructure surrounding the historic Diriyah area, a UNESCO World Heritage site in Saudi Arabia. The successful pour of 1,600 cubic metres of concrete in a single stretch underscores the project’s ambitious scale and the authority’s commitment to modern engineering standards.

The Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has launched a new initiative aimed at small and medium enterprises (SMEs) employing 20 or more workers, urging them to regularise their workers’ housing conditions. This programme is part of the government’s broader efforts to enhance labour market regulations and improve living conditions for expatriate workers in the kingdom.

One of the world’s largest producers of natural gas is hoping to turn some of it into future-friendly protein for humans and animals. The Saudi Industrial Investment Group (SIIG), partly owned by the Saudi government, has entered into a joint venture with Danish biotech firm Unibio to build a fermentation facility to turn gases into sustainable proteins.
