Saudi Arabia Names New Vice Minister of Tourism in Broad Reshuffle

The changes come as Saudi has scaled back some Vision 2030 projects and is accelerating efforts to attract foreign direct investment. SHARE Saudi Arabia replaced more than 40 senior government officials and named a new deputy tourism minister, in a broad reshuffle Thursday.

Abdulmohsen Al-Mazyad was promoted to Vice Minister of Tourism, having previously overseen licensing and classification standards in the hospitality sector, according to the ministry's website and a post on X. King Salman moved Deputy Minister of Tourism Princess Haifa bint Mohammed, a visible figure in Saudi Arabia’s tourism push, into an advisory role with ministerial rank, according to the Saudi Gazette.
