Construction contracts totalling $24 billion have been awarded for Saudi Arabia’s NEOM project and its sub-projects, according to a recent report by property consultancy Knight Frank. These contracts include $470 million for Magna, $3.31 billion for TROJENA — which features the world’s largest man-made lake — $8.9 billion for THE LINE, and $9.3 billion for OXAGON.

NEOM has welcomed a new partner to develop the massive renewable energy infrastructure required for its green hydrogen hub. Indian engineering firm Larsen & Toubro has joined the venture, which is now over 80% complete and on track to become the largest facility of its kind globally, reports Energies Media. The partnership was formed when ACWA Power, a major utility and existing partner in the hub, signed an initial agreement with Larsen & Toubro. The Indian company will be responsible for building the “upstream” components, including the vast fields of solar panels and wind turbines, the electrical grid that connects them, and energy storage systems.

Tabuk Agricultural Development Co. (TADCO) said the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed with TOPIAN Ltd. (NEOM Food Co.) expired on Oct. 17 and will not be extended.   In a statement to Tadawul, the company said the expiry of the MoU will have no financial impact.

Saudi Arabia has awarded contracts worth $196 billion to develop its commissioned giga projects, up 20 per cent on 2024, with the increase driven by real estate and infrastructure work amid a shift from planning to execution. The total value of projects in the pipeline in the kingdom currently stands at $80 billion, Knight Frank said in its fourth annual Saudi Arabia Giga Projects report released on Monday.
