Diriyah Company has awarded the main construction works contract for Heroes’ Park to Saudi Arabian Trading & Construction Company (Satco), marking another milestone in the delivery of the wider Diriyah development. The contract is valued at SAR393 million ($105 million) and covers the construction of the large-scale public park within the Diriyah Two development.

Spanning more than 100,000sqm, Heroes’ Park is designed to accommodate up to 35,000 visitors and will feature a range of civil infrastructure, landscaping and public amenities aimed at creating a major recreational destination within the historic district.

The project will require integrated engineering solutions to manage pedestrian movement, visitor capacity, utility networks and water management across the site.

Diriyah Company said Heroes’ Park will become one of the flagship public spaces within the Diriyah Two development, supporting the transformation of the area into a cultural, heritage and lifestyle destination.
