EPC contractors have submitted bids to design and build a new water recycling and recovery plant for OXAGON, the industrial center of Saudi Arabia’s NEOM project, reports MEED. The utility and energy subsidiary of NEOM, Enowa, received proposals from companies including PowerChina, Alfanar Company, and Orascom on October 30.

OXAGON - the floating industrial city under development in the southwest corner of the NEOM development in Saudi Arabia - is in talks to construct a 1GW artificial intelligence data center. An initial 400MW phase could be signed this year, claimed OXAGON’s CEO Vishal Wanchoo in an interview with Semafor.
NEOM has asked firms to submit revised offers by 10 November for the contract to build the tunnels that will serve as the railway junction connecting the Spine with the NEOM Connector. The previous deadline was 27 October. Known as the Delta Junction, the project involves 26.5 kilometres (km) of tunnelling work that will be split into two lots, one for the north and the other for the south.
The Saudi giga-project NEOM has secured SAR60 billion ($16 billion) in private sector funding and SAR30 billion ($8 billion) in loans as it tries to move away from reliance on government cash. The revelation was made by deputy CEO Rayan Fayez to the Future Investment Initiative forum in Riyadh on Wednesday.
