The final boat in a four-vessel order for Saudi Arabian urban developer NEOM has now been delivered by Spanish shipbuilder Moggaro Aluminium Yachts, bringing the project to completion. According to Moggaro, the latest handover took place after a period of uncertainty caused by ongoing geopolitical tensions in the region. In a social media update, the company said the vessel had safely reached its destination and was prepared to enter service.
The vessel has been delivered to the newly developed Sindalah Island in Saudi Arabia, where it will offer diving and sightseeing tours for guests of the luxurious hotel complex.
The contract covered the manufacturing of four hybrid-powered dive boats, each measuring 16 metres in length. The first of the series entered service in 2025 and is based at NEOM’s Sindalah Sports Complex. NEOM commissioned the hybrid aluminium-inclusive vessels to support both scuba-diving operations and a range of recreational outings. Alongside operational performance, the brief called for high standards of passenger comfort, build quality and environmental responsibility.
This is the second unit of a total of four boats scheduled for delivery to NEOM. The design focuses on versatility, accommodating both diving and excursion activities, with special attention to onboard mobility to facilitate adaptive diving for people with reduced mobility.
The boat features a hybrid propulsion system, enabling emission-free electric navigation during port maneuvers and diving site operations, powered by two 15kW BlueNav electric motors. Additionally, it is equipped with two Volvo D11 625HP engines and Hamilton HTX30 water jets, allowing for a comfortable cruising speed of 25 knots and a maximum speed of 37 knots.
